PokerStars World Blogger Championship of Online Poker

T-minus 30 minutes or so until the tournament begins. I’ve been warming up playing in a Sit and Go (SnG) 45-person tourney. Currently sitting in 11th place and feel like I’ve been playing pretty well, so hopefully that is a good sign! I’m going to try & update here as the tourney progresses. If you’re extremely bored & want to watch me in action, download the PokerStars software & under the Request menu - go to Find Player & type in “adinar”. You can then observe the table where I’m playing.

Update (1st break): Ouch. The 2nd to last hand before the break, I lost with KK44 to full house 7s over 4s. I knew better. Duh. Out of a field of 2247, I’m in 1053rd position out of 1497 people remaining. My stack is $1135 (starting was $2000), and my max was close to $3000. Need to play smarter & stay patient.

Update: So much for staying patient. I managed to build my stack back up to just over $2000, but ended up going out on a stone cold bluff which was called. Finished in 1008th place. It didn’t help that I was playing at a table with 4 ppl that have been sitting out since the beginning.

Oh well…it was still fun. :)

Poker & blogging - what a combo!
