Groovy, baybee....

"When the chips are right, you bet it all", right? Isn't that how it goes? Or is it, "don't look a gift horse in the mouth?" Or maybe, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it?" Oh I know, "if you're on a roll, keep a'rolling!"

Well folks, things are rolling along just fine here...so fine that I've gotten in a funky groove which entails less-than-usual computer time at home. Which translates to stagnancy on the weblog front.

My typical week consists of babysitting the Kiddos when Jen works in the evenings, going to play Ultimate (2x a week), and as of late, watching episodes of Firefly. What can I say, Jen & I have jumped aboard the Firefly bandwagon and have no yearning at all of getting off. You can bet we'll be in the best seats of the house come September 30th, when Serenity premieres. If you haven't seen Firefly, you ought to give it a shot - it's definitely one of the best shows in recent times, IMO.

Based on similar interest groupos, I've heard a lot of good things about the new Battlestar Galactica series as well, and am looking forward to jumping on the bandwagon come September when Season 1 of that series comes out on DVD.

With ultimate, the league concluded with a league tournament this past Saturday - and Feed Me a Kitten (or FMAK) took top honors once again! I can't say that I contributed very much, but I sure had a lot of fun, and plan to continue learning & playing this wonderful sport! I can definitely throw a forehand much more deftly than I ever could, not that that is any sort of useful life skill.

I've also been informed by my co-worker that Kinetically Challenged may be re-formed for this years Raid the Rock Adventure Race. So add training for that race to my ever growing plate of things to do.

Connor is still growing quite fast, and is nearing the 20 lb mark weight wise. Ariel is also growing quite fast, nearing the "I'm gonna be bigger & taller than my parents" mark. And Braden is growing quite fast, and nearing the "I'll soon be able to outrun and outRIDE my mom & dad" mark.

As an early birthday present for Jen, I got her one of THESE - a Dell 17" flat-panel Ultrasharp LCD monitor. She may not be an techie geek like myself, but that sure didn't preclude her from loving her new baby. :)

The summer is definitely speeding by, but as long as I stay in this groove, I don't mind at all. (Well, not exactly true as I could wish on things at work to go more smoothly but....you take what you can get, right?)
