Nonsensical Gibberish

Latest milestones...

Connor's last weigh-in (albeit with a diaper on): at 4 1/2 months, 21 lbs!! What a healthy, growing baby boy! Based on growth charts, that puts him up around the 97th percentile.

Braden has semi-mastered the skill of riding a bike. Only took 3 outings (with me rollerblading with behind him) and he can keep himself going. The first time I took him out, I predicted that he would be riding within a week's time. Am I good or what? IIRC, Ariel achieved the same skill within a similar amount of time. I think the secret is to get 'em young on the trailer bike and then forgo teh EVIL training wheels.

Oh...and if I forgot to mention, we buzzed his hair a while back cuz he wanted to look like dad. :)

Ariel's latest milestone? Sewing! We signed her up for a 1-week (3-hr/day) sewing class taught by one of the homeschool moms. After the week, she had sewn a pillowcase, several stuffed kittens, a pair of pants, and a zippered bag all on her own on a SEWING MACHINE. In fact, she's made several stuffed kittens that she's given to friends since then. OH did I mention that Ariel has been doing her own laundry for at least the past year? And that she is responsible for cooking dinner one night a week?

My kids are growing up sooo fast, but I'm an extremely proud daddy. Sometimes, I think too fast....

Ariel got an "anonymous" gift bag left on our doorstep a couple of weeks ago that had a couple of beanie baby bears in it, and a little plastic heart that said, "Forever yours." We suspected it was one of the neighbor boys and our suspicions turned out to be true. Egads. *looks around for his baseball bat, shotgun, and claymore mines*

Jen thought it was pretty hilarious that the neighbor boy did that (that he bought her something with his own spending money), but I told her that we did the same thing when we were in junior high. We often bought gifts for the girls we liked, thinking (stupidly) that that would be the way to their heart. I know what they are thinking because I was like them once upon a time.

*runs to break out that baseball bat*
