I wasn't going to...I really really wasn't going to...but....after hearing about all the Good Things (TM) being said about "Lost", I went out & purchased Lost: The Complete First Season on DVD.
However, there is a catch. If not for this one, important factor, I'd still be sitting here Lostless. I read on the DVDTalk Bargains Forum that certain editions of Lost at Best Buy came with a bonus DVD with additional featurettes and behind-the-scenes footage. Big deal, right? Well, this particular Best Buy exclusive DVD is selling on Ebay for $30 or more! Understand me here...it's not the boxset that is selling for $30...it's just this one bonus DVD that is selling for upwards of $40. I don't know if the fact that it comes with a $10 coupon for Desperate Housewives is a factor, but heck...if someone is going to pay ME 3/4 of what the boxset costs, you better believe I'm going to jump all over that.
So less than 4 hours of setting up a listing for the bonus DVD, I had someone BuyItNow for $33. My final damage? $10 for Lost: The Complete First Season on DVD. Not bad. Not bad at all.
This just leads me to wonder even more at the phenomenon that is Ebay, where people often pay more than what things are actually worth. But as long as they're paying me, you won't hear me complaining.
