Sorry for the delay in writing up my service project in Slidell, LA - been really busy this last week, and when I haven't been busy, I've been fighting off some sort of cold/flu trying to take me down.
Weather has *finally* cooled off here - cooled off enough that I set up the tent in the backyard last night & camped out with the Kiddos (minus Jen & Connor). It was a pretty chilly night, but we kept warm snuggled up to each other. Actually, Ariel started the night off in her own primitive tepee (constructed with sticks, blankets & towels), but I convinced her to sleep with us around 4 in the morning after everything she was sleeping in got soaked by the collecting dew.
The weekend was spent in the company of "Justin Timberlake", "Dan Akyroyd", and "Tone Loc" (nicknames we coined for each other during our trip to Slidell) watching the TX-OU football game.
Jen & I also went & saw Serenity Sat night which totally ROCKED!!
Going to be volunteering all day this upcoming Saturday for Raid the Rock, and then will be celebrating Tone Loc's b-day next week.
Received my brand-new videocard (Geforce 6600GT PCI-e) this weekend (will end up paying $68 for it after rebate; reg $140). So now I have a brand-new videocard for a computer that doesn't yet exist, and a case in which to put my non-existant motherboard & parts. ;)
Also thinking about getting a subscription to satellite radio - any opinions on whether it's worth it?
