Man, what a week. First the whole family was sick as I wrote about in my last entry. And then I managed to get well enough to go down to Baton Rouge for the past four days. We were putting on a series of modeling seminars for our various clients to teach them about our capabilities and to talk to them about their specific issues and concerns. All in all, I thought it was very successful. Inevitably, we always get the "what if" questions. In other words, "hypothetically speaking, what would you do if...." And in more than one instance, a little bit down the line, we'll get a project that turned out to be similar to what they were asking about. Which is good, isn't it? As with all of our trips down to Louisiana, we had some *great* food. This time I managed to get some boiled crawfish since they are finally in season. And instead of just my boss and I going down this time, Co-worker Buddy went down with us as well. Which made the trip even more fun. When it was just my boss and I, we usually retired to our respective rooms after dinner and spent the rest of the night by ourselves. However, with Co-worker Buddy there, I hung out with him in his room watching TV after we ate dinner. Yep, we had some good times watching James Bond, wrestling, Springer, and the Rockford Files. Hey, considering both of us are cable/satellite-challenged, we had to make the most of getting to watch cable TV. Anyway, I'm back in town now - but I'll be going back down again next Wednesday and Thursday to meet with two more agencies. In other non-trip related news, presenting... My new stealth drives. First you see it...
Now you don't...
They weren't too difficult to make. Just had to remove the front panel from my drives, velcro on the bay covers, and add a pencil eraser so I could trigger the eject button. You can't see it, but the second drive bay holds my CD burner so there are actually two drives that are hidden. I'm just glad I'm all better now and not feeling naueous or feverish anymore. Actually, I'm glad I got all better for my trip so I could nurse myself back to health with some good Louisianan cooking. Unfortunately, Co-worker Buddy seems to have come down with what we had last week so he's feeling as miserable as we were. Poor guy.
