Five
1. What are your hobbies? In no particular order of importance, cycling, table tennis, writing, reading, websurfing for hot deals. 2. Do you collect anything? If so, what? The new State quarters (one from each mint), playing cards from wherever I travel for business (perhaps I need to change it to wherever I travel to, period), Hot Wheels cars (although not a fanatic collector), and my DW would probably say that I collect computers although I disagree...;) 3. Is there a hobby you're interested in, but just don't have the time/money to do? Probably some sort of adventure race, maybe even competing in cycling; bike touring, web design. 4. Have you ever turned a hobby into a moneymaking opportunity? Well, would you count getting a hot deal and then making a profit out of it by selling it to someone else? Yep...Ebay is my friend...:) 5. Besides web-related stuff (burbs, rings, etc.), what clubs do you belong to? Table tennis club - does that count? In the past, I belonged to the Univ. of Texas Ballroom dance club & the UT fencing club. I guess "clubs" are most popular for the younger crowd. * * * Well...I got to see my friend/co-worker for a moment when he dropped by work briefly today - he seems to be ok although a bit worse for the wear. He related the whole experience to me and said that he sure is lucky/blessed to be alive. In a nutshell, what happened was that the RV trailer they were towing hydroplaned, and when it jackknifed, it took the truck with it, and as a result, the truck flipped on its side, slid a ways, and then rolled on its roof when it hit the grassy median. I sure was glad to see him though. Poor guy sure doesn't need anything more crappy to happen to him. Hopefully we'll get out & do something soon. On a brighter note, the teenagers from our church are doing a garage sale fundraiser this weekend so we were able to donate (de-clutter) some more things of ours for their cause. :) And while we had our front door open last night, Sugar Spot (SS), our girl kitten, decided it was time to go exploring since the screen was ripped. I heard this loud sound & went to check it out. Found her sitting on the mat outside our front door looking around. Silly thing. We are planning on getting harnesses & leashes when they are full grown so we can at least take them out. Pointless observation: One thing I *have* noticed...and this may be just a freak coincidence. But out of all the weblogs I've read or visited briefly, seems like cats are the most popular pet if a blogger has a pet. I mean, the cat owners easily outnumbered the dog owners 10:1 it seemed like - has anyone else noticed this? If it's the case, anyone have any insight why it is that way? Is there any correlation between aspiring writers and being a cat lover? And I will leave you all with one of the funniest websites I've ever seen - Check out Redneck Neighbor. If you think *you* have bad neighbors, wait until you see this guy. :) Hehe. Have a great weekend everyone!!
